Dream of the Soul

What shabby spaces does my soul sleep?
What darkness shames my sorry sight?
In a cave I dwell with bated breath
No shadows to see in any flickering light

Yet something pulls me down and out
The entrance is dim and distant but there
No color at all, but hot flashes of bright
With a flash that x-rays the hollow of my soul

A hole so tiny yet vast in vacancy
A pinprick of moment that is nowhere at all
Such a draw that dances in dervish delight
With sole-less soul it lets ME go

In sudden I see YOU coming to me
I wait for your kiss, yet you pass me by
When I look to your back I see nothing at all
Then I know I AM gone….in You, the Soul
