Sunset Point

I want to stay in this moment,
Can it wait? Stop?

Ethereal sunlight – bands of color
Rippled in reflection on diaphanous waves

Could this be heaven?
A prolonged breath of beauty

I want to stay..
But dissatisfaction distracts from the passing grace

Will we just BE
In a moment that never passes?

Myriad moments now one in Clarity…
Unique in simultaneous apposition

Smiles and joys,
Staring eyes of loved ones

The passage of pain
Transformed in reality revealed

Love longings, now sated
In transcendent bouquets

I want to stay in this moment
But will wait for its eternity

When birds sing the rhythm of dusk
And my time has ended.                                                                     tpt 3/7/2005
