I Should Tell You…

…..I should tell you….
But you wouldn’t hear it as it was
Not because you didn’t want to
B
ut because you can’t

I have wanted to walk with you
On the stage and in your heart
But the lines of human yearnings
Don’t allow the intimacy

So many journeys alone
The tellings never capture all
Hints of glory and of rapture
Circle in a swirl of smoke

None too clear but always precious
Come the moments of the dance
Many make the steps together
Yet the distance marks the gaps

Loneliness is locked within us
None the lacking for a breath
Gasping for the true conveyance
Seeping round the corners gape

Yet we feel the shared dis-ease
There is a love…dis-covers it
Sharing seems weak consoling
Taunting debts of dignity!

Angels in Treetops

I now know from whence the wind does blow
And to where and for why it does drive forth!
‘Tis naught but graced wisps of refined commotion
From the fluttering wings of angels in treetops
Loved ones alighting on branches of berth
Look down from above and quiver in delight
They laugh in the air as the wind they create
And hurl us along in the flow of the Spirit!
